The Dilemma of aces

In Texas Holdem, the pair of aces is certainly the best hand you can have and the statistics you receive it only once every 220 hands. In fact you could see them more often, or, if you are having a bad run, less often.
Players with less experience will often make a fundamental error, even if you see him do too many of the best players in the world. When you receive the Aces No Limit cash game, you'd like, instinctively, immediately go all-in with your whole stack. The question I ask is ... why?

does not matter if you're playing online or live, cash game or tournament, the goal is to play your hand as profitably as possible. Are you the type of player who goes all in with pocket aces (or couples "dressed", KK, QQ and JJ) then you're wasting a couple of golden opportunities. In most cases with a pair of aces is your chance to enlarge the pot or win it quickly initially. But one thing is particularly important when playing the Aces: you must understand that you can lose a big pot or even all of your chips against a worse hand.

look at it from the logical point of view of the game. If you get aces in early position and you raise, you SHOULD be called only by couples with players dressed or AK or AQ. The possibility that your opponent has AK or AQ is quite low, when you already have two aces in your hand. So you can assume that your opponent has a couple dressed or, if you see this player has a big stack or know it's a maniac, you may have everything from couples to suited connectors. With a pair of aces that players want to call you and you definitely want controrilancino!

If you sit in middle or late position then you are certainly in a position to re-raise. Want to try to minimize the number of players per flop. If you only call a raise preflop, then prepared for the possibility of losing her hand, even if at first you were ahead. If you do not thins the pot of some players, the better chance of hitting a point, which increases your chances of losing the hand.

The other day I was in the final stages of a tournament and I was sitting in cut off with a good stack. I had just been moved to that table and then I had not had a chance to observe my opponents and I was not reading about any of them. I get pocket aces and a player in early position raises a call from 5 players. In a situation like this I would only put a call into trouble, so I reraised all-in. Of the six only two players in the hand have called, a player with AK (as expected) and the other with Jx (?). I won the hand and I have tripled.

Limit Holdem is a completely different story. You can not protect your hand as in the No Limit, then the risk of being beaten by a worse hand is considerably larger. However the basic rules of No Limit remain the same. Do you want to call it the players and certainly want controrilancino so that you can raise again. However, make sure to pay attention to your opponents, however painful it may be, you must be ready to fold even the best hand of the game.

Although it is quite sad, most players do not play poker. They prefer to just go all-in preflop, often leading to the fold of the other players and losing a good opportunity to win some chips. It might be the right tactic when trying to win a tournament game, but if you try to increase your stack is not the best way to play the hand. Play like you should play, Take the chips from your opponents when you have the right hands to do it and you are always attentive to the dangerous cards that fall on the board and that do not help your hand. The one where you can hope for in this game is that luck will come when you put your whole stack over the line, and if you get a pair of aces, you can say with certainty that the best hand before the flop.
